It is with mixed emotions that we are sharing the following letter from Mrs. Bonnie Papez:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
The above verse is one of the verses God gave me when I came to St. Matthew. What a gift! It's hard to believe it has been 17 years already as school secretary. Those years have been a journey filled with amazing lessons!
I share with you that God has laid it on my heart to retire at the end of this school year. I look at retirement as the beginning of a new journey God has in store for me. I will deeply miss all of you. I have so enjoyed being a part of St. Matthew. To me St. Matthew is like family. All of you have touched my life in so many ways. Thank you for all of your prayers, encouragement, and support.
I will not be a stranger to St. Matthew. I will still be here on Sundays and volunteering. Thank you for helping make these 17 years such an enjoyable part of my career. To God be the glory!

Our hearts are excited for Mrs. Papez and all the wonderful adventures the Lord has waiting for her, and yet at the same time, our hearts are saddened because we are going to dearly miss her contagious laugh, loving heart, and incredibly deep faith.Just as we are confident that the Lord has great plans for Mrs. Papez, we are convinced that the Lord has great plans for leading the next awesome secretary to St. Matthew. Ecclesiastes 3:1 states, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."
We praise God for the wonderful season He gave us with Mrs. Papez!
